windows vista install error:

This problem was posted by the forum member: "Kane"

Problem: Some people have experienced problems while installing Windows Vista on their system, during the install process the files have to be copied from the disk to the computers hard drive ,ready for installation, its during this process that the error accurse while the files are copying the user receives an error saying that the files may be damaged or corrupt. this happens at different times for different people some at 49%, 60% etc of the copying process. the error code the user receives is 0x80070241.

"I had this same problem upon installing windows vista, i found that the way to overcome this problem, was to uninstall any conflicting software for example, (alcohol 120%, and nero) then i copied all the files from the windows vista DVD to a folder named C:/windows vista, I then rebooted the computer with the windows vista DVD in the DVD drive and when i clicked the install button and went through the setup, the copying files just went straight to 100% and then the rest of the installation was fine, hope this helps anyone with this problem."
